KEC Sunnyside Preschool

To provide young children with fun and developmentally appropriate learning experiences in an exciting and supportive learning environment. We believe that children learn best when they play! When children play with materials, friends, and supportive teachers, they learn about the world around them and begin to develop a lifelong love for learning and school.
To provide high-school students who are learning about teaching with interactive experiences with young children. High-school students, under the supervision of an experienced early childhood professional, offer young children a wide variety of learning experiences while developing the skills and knowledge necessary to begin preparing for a career of teaching young children.

We are located on the campus of Kishwaukee College in the Kishwaukee Education Consortium building.
We offer our Preschool for children ages 3-5. (We ask that children who attend be able to consistently and independently use the bathroom as we do not have diaper changing facilities available.)
Preschool begins on October 1, 2024 and continues through early-May 2025. The Preschool will be closed during selected weeks in December, January, and March for KEC's academic closures when high school students are not in attendance.Preschool days and hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00-12:00.
We request that children attend each day during our week to become familiar with our routine, to benefit most from the experiences we offer, and to develop relationships with our teaching staff.
We provide a variety of hands-on learning experiences both indoors and outdoors.
Fees are $5.00 per day.
We provide a mid-morning snack.
